 About the Event

“Security BSides SP” is a free, community-driven two-days conference organized by infosec professionals involved with the hacker culture and the information security industry. The main objective of BSides SP is to allow innovation, discussion and exchange of knowledge about information security and hacker culture, with a relaxed atmosphere and where these disciplines became complementary.

BSidesSP is part of “Security BSides” (www.securitybsides.com) conferences which already took place in various countries. “BSides” conferences are community-driven conferences that take place in conjunction with some great event in the same city.

BSidesSP will take place on May 25 and 26, 2017, the weekend right before YSTS Conference.

 Submission Format

Each submission must be sent via the following form:

We will have mini-trainnings on Saturday May 25 and various simultaneous activities on Sunday May 26: 2 tracks for talks, 2 for workshops, and activities like the BR Arsenal, Hacker Career Fair, Lightning Talks and a “BSides 4 Kids” track.

About each activity:

  • Talks: Lectures must cover the topics related to the conference. They will be 40 minutes long each;
  • Technical workshops: hands-on activities, including tools demo. They will last 1h30.
  • Lightning Talks: short talks lasting 10 minutes (maximun)
  • BR Arsenal: talks or hands-on activities about open-source security tools developed by Brazilian researchers
  • Hacker Career Fair: 15-min talks about infosec career
  • BSides 4 Kids: “geek” activities for kids. Each one will last 1h30
  • Short Trainings: Free 3-hours training on Saturday May 25

Speakers will have granted access to the conference and will earn a conference T-shirt. Unfortunately BSides SP does not provide financial support to speakers.
